Restricted products — in store only
Acid drain openers (e.g. One Shot)
Concentrated sulphuric-acid drain cleaners are sold to trade account holders and business customers only, in person at our Chingford counter. They are not sold to the general public, online, by phone or for delivery. Sulphuric acid above 15% is a regulated explosives precursor under the Poisons Act 1972 and a corrosive product under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019.
Knives, blades & corrosives
Knives, utility and snap-off blades, and corrosive products such as spirits of salt can only be bought in store with valid physical photo ID (passport, photocard driving licence or PASS card). We operate Challenge 25 and we never deliver these items (Criminal Justice Act 1988 s.141A; Offensive Weapons Act 2019).
